In 1781 Henry Fuseli made the painting The Nightmare. Since then it has been an icon of horror and the supernatural. After Fuseli came Frankenstein leading much later to Dracula, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Van Helsing. All of this horror can be found in the vaults of Tate Britain’s galleries.
And that’s why we invited hundreds of young Goths to take part in a round-table about all things Gothic.
The discussion explored the realities of being a Goth, like: How to keep clothes dyed black? Is it hard to get a job as a Goth? What art do Goths like? Resonance fm broadcast the discussion on the radio. Hear the discussion here…
