Seona Reid

I am currently Deputy Chair of the Heritage Lottery Fund (National Heritage Memorial Fund) and Chair for Scotland; Commissioner on the UK–US Fulbright Commission; Chair of The National Theatre of Scotland and of Cove Park, an artist residency centre in Argyll; and Board Member of the Edinburgh International Cultural Summit Foundation.

I served as Director of the Glasgow School of Art between 1999 and 2013 and Director of the Scottish Arts Council between 1990 and 1999, following a career in performing arts and disability arts, and have served on a wide range of committees and Boards in the arts and the education sectors including, most recently, the Advisory Group to the UK Government on UK City of Culture 2017, Scottish Broadcasting Commission, Lighthouse Centre for Architecture and Design and the Executive Committee of Universities Scotland.

I am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and was awarded a DBE IN 2014 for services to the creative industries.
