Moya Greene, Tate Trustee

Moya Greene was Chief Executive Officer of Royal Mail Group for eight years starting in July 2010. She was recruited to effect a wholesale transformation of the business and the implementation of a new strategy designed to attract private sector investors. The company was privatised in 2013 and is a fully listed FTSE 100 company.

Prior to joining Royal Mail, Moya was CEO of Canada Post for five years where again she led a successful transformation programme, significantly improving profitability despite declining mail volumes.

Ms. Greene has a strong track record in strategic planning, complex negotiations and relationship building in the private sectors. She also has strong public sector background, developed over a 17-year period when she assumed progressively senior roles in seven different ministries of the Canadian federal public service including its Cabinet Office.

In 2013, Ms Greene received the Sunday Times Business Person of the Year Award. In 2014, she received the Financial Times Boldness in Business Award, and the Ashridge Business School Leader of the Year Award. Ms Greene was ranked one of the most powerful EMEA female CEOs in Fortune 2015. Under her leadership Royal Mail has been ranked number one twice in the international Dow Jones Sustainability Index as best corporate citizen in the global transportation and logistics sector.
