On long term loan
This film shows the artist creating ‘Junior’, her alter-ego doll. They share everything from clothing to experiences. Starr uses the doll to explore identity, self-doubt, loneliness and anxiety. The film is the result of an invitation to create an artwork for The Hague in the Netherlands. Starr arrived in the city with no preconceived project. She spent two weeks alone, obsessively collecting things and turning her small hotel room into an installation.
