The identification of Battle Abbey was correctly given by Edward Croft-Murray in pencil annotations to a copy of Finberg now in Tate’s Library. For Battle Abbey in this sketchbook see notes to folio 45 (D05662).
The leaf is stained with ink or grey wash above the lower margin and repaired at the bottom left corner.
