Turner drew the exterior of the church on folio 66 verso of the sketchbook (D10525; Turner Bequest CXL 69a). Here, he notes a number of details of the elaborate architecture; columns, arches and the decoration of the porch with its winged angels and shields including the arms of the Cinque Ports.
