This rough sketch of the outline of the ruins of Dunbar Castle is one of a number of rapidly executed sketches of the rocks and ruins around the coast of Dunbar made in this sketchbook. The rectangular tower of the castle can be seen in the centre of the page with the rocky promontory on which it stands descending into the sea on the right.
