The subject of this sketch is not conclusively identified although it appears to depict a view of hills or mountains from a road crossing a bridge. This may represent the bridge at Crevoladossola, a town near the Swiss/Italian border where the Simplon Road enters the Val d’Ossola, see folio 23 (D16932).
