For Turner’s Oxford views in this sketchbook, beginning on Magdalen Bridge and apparently following a walk round the city, see the Introduction to this sketchbook. This sketch shows the Radcliffe Camera and St Mary’s near centre, Tom Tower at right. It was not visible to Finberg, the leaf having been removed from the book and laid down on a mount to display the recto (D04794) for exhibition at Oxford.
