This sketch from the north-west of the ruins of Berwick Castle with a mill building at the left foreground is very similar to a study in the Abbotsford sketchbook (Tate D26005; Turner Bequest CCLXVII 46a). The sketch continues slightly onto the top left of folio 29 (D25693) and at the bottom of the present page is a separate sketch, perhaps showing the masts of boats in Berwick harbour.
