Having sketched his first glimpse of Loch Katrine as seen from the east end of Loch Arklet on folio 22 (D26478), Turner continued on the path towards Stronachlachar, making this sketch of the loch and surrounding hills with the promontory at the north of Stronachlachar. The loch is inscribed ‘Loch K’, and Ben Venue at the right is labelled ‘B V’.
