The view is to the south-west from the beach west of Seaton, South Devon, with shallow mudstone cliffs on the right, and high chalk ones on the left, the viewpoint for a prospect over Seaton towards Axmouth on folio 61 verso (D08480; CXXIII 58a). There is a sketch of Axmouth on the verso of the present leaf (D08476).
Seaton appears in the annotated list of banknotes on folio 253 verso (D40905).
Technical notes:
There is some ink offsetting from the inscription on folio 58 verso opposite (D08474; CXXIII 56a).
