The small buildings on the left and trees beyond may be along the low-lying west bank of the Exe Estuary, looking east towards Exmouth. There are views in the neighbourhood on adjacent pages (folios 67 recto and verso, 69 recto and verso; D08490, D08491, D08494, D08495; CXXIII 64, 64a, 66, 66a) and what appears to be a sketch of nearby Powderham Castle on the recto (D08488).
