This page contains part of a panoramic view of the Bay of Gaeta on the Tyrrhenian coast, seen from Formia (formerly known as Mola di Gaeta). The bay sweeps round in a great curve towards the headland of Gaeta, visible on the opposite sheet of the double-page spread, see folio 26 verso (D15606; Turner Bequest CLXXXIV 25a).
