The inscription on this page records the Latin lettering from the northern face of the base of the column of Marcus Aurelius in Piazza Colonna, Rome.1 Turner’s transcription reads:
TRIVMPAHLIS | ET SACRA NVNC SVM | CHRISTIVEREPI[...] | DISCIPVLVIM FERE | QVV PER CRVCIS | PRAEDIC ATIOMEN | DERORANIS | BARBARISQ | TRIVMPHIANVIT | [?F]ONTANI
The original text reads:
TRIVMPHALIS | ET SACRA NVNC SVM | CHRISTI VERE PIVM | DISCIPVLVM FERENS | QVI PER CRVCIS | PRAEDICATRIONEM | DE ROMANIS | BARBARISQ | TRIVMPHAVIT
