These inscriptions, inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, refer to the drawing on the verso of this leaf (D00247); compare folio 34 recto (D00245).
Finberg conflated the recto and verso of this leaf, transcribing the inscription verso as though it were on the recto, and listing no verso. This confusion led to the present work being given the pseudo-Turner Bequest page number ‘35v’, as though it were the verso of the leaf.
