The drawing was made with the page turned horizontally. A copy is in the Fogg Museum, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA.
Technical notes:
Approximately 30 mm has been trimmed off the inside edge of this leaf towards the gutter (above the subject), reducing it from the usual dimensions of 203 x 264 mm for the other leaves in this sketchbook. It has been tipped onto a broad stub to bring its outer edge in line with the others.

Blank; inscribed by ?John Ruskin in pencil ‘13’; stamped in brown ink with Turner Bequest monogram.
