This page contains three sketches of Lake Lugano. The precise locations are not conclusively identified, although an inscription by the artist relating to the uppermost drawing indicates the position of the high peak of Monte San Salvatore. This suggests the views have been drawn from the western branch of the lake, near Ponte Tresa.
