The main sketch on this page depicts a view of mountainous landscape. A brief inscription by the artist indicates that it represents a view on the road to the Pass of Mont Cenis in the Cottian Alps. There is also a further, very rough and schematic drawing of mountains on the far right-hand side of the sheet, parallel with the right-hand edge.
