This view of Richmond from the right bank of the River Swale looks towards Corn Mill, with the Castle and town above, and upstream to the bridge at the left. The sketch is extended by a few lines on folio 25 recto (D11543; Turner Bequest CXLVIII 13, now bound opposite). The present writer dates this sketch to Tuesday 30 July 1816.
