This is the right half of a double-page spread continued from folio 291 recto (D11888), recording the view from above the Sutton Bank road looking west and south to Hood Hill in the centre of the spread with Roulston Scar at the left. The spread is the third of three in this sketchbook recording the whole panorama from north to south on Sutton Bank (running from the back, folios 293 recto–292 verso, D11892–D11891; and folios 292 recto–291 verso, D11890–D11889).
