This is the left half of a double-page spread, continued to the right on folio 18 (D10901), opposite, recording the distant view of York Minster from due south, taken from the Lord Mayor’s Walk on the left bank of the River Ouse, less than a mile below the present Skeldergate Bridge. The view is perhaps continued to the right in an adjacent double-page spread, folios 18 verso–19 (D10902–D10903).
