This is the left half of a double-page spread continued to the right on folio 55 (D10969), opposite, recording a detailed study of the south-east aspect of the castle, from a similar viewpoint to the previous double-page spread across folios 53 verso and the recto (D10966–D10967) and supplying the detail for that on folios 55 verso–56 (D10970–D10971).
