Ulshaw Bridges stand at the junction of the Rivers Cover and Ure. In this sketch, Turner records that over the Cover to the left, and that over the Ure to the right. Effectively, albeit from a slightly more distant viewpoint, this is the continuation to the right of the view of Middleham from the east on the previous double-page spread, across folio 57 verso and the recto (D10974–D10975).
