See Introduction to the sketchbook for the presence of a small run of sketches at Stratford-upon-Avon dating from 1833. Drawn inverted in relation to main numbered sequence of subjects in the book this sketch forms the left section of a two-part panorama of the town, looking down the river over the bridges to the Holy Trinity Church at the left and the Guild Chapel to the right, and continued to the right to the Toll House on the opposite page (D29205; Turner Bequest CCXCIII 88a). The view is similar, but more distant to that on the adjacent doubtle-page spread (D29203–D29204; Turner Bequest CCXCIII 87a–88).
