At the head of the page is a sketch of the church at Quillebeuf on the Seine; (see Tate D24669; Turner Bequest CCLIX 103) for a slightly different later view. The sketch at the bottom of the page gives a more distant view of the village on the left bank of the Seine. There are further sketches of Quillebeuf on folios 14 where there is another view of the church and perhaps on 34 verso (Tate D24526, D24565; Turner Bequest CCLIX 14, 34v).
At the centre of the page are two studies of the prow and stern of a small boat. Between these sketches and the distant view of Quillebeuf below is a slight sketch of cliffs on the north bank of the Seine, looking towards Le Havre at the mouth of the river.1
