Towards the bottom, the following two-stage calculation in pounds, shillings and pence appears in ink.

This sum appears to provide the first figure for the upper inscription, although the total for the lower sum should apparently be 3293. ‘3393’ appears as the first figure in a further sum on folio 14 verso opposite (D08306). The ‘Red’ (Reduced) stocks figure of £2283 nine shillings and three pence occurs elsewhere on folios 12 verso and 13 recto (D08302, D08303) and on the separate sheet of calculations associated with this sketchbook (D40900; [Turner Bequest CXXII (4) verso]), as well as in the Hastings sketchbook (Tate D07670, D07683, D07685; Turner Bequest CXI 49, 57a, 58a). ‘260’, with the associated date 16 June 1813, is also on D08302 and folio 14 recto (D08305).
