There is one group of figures across the middle of the endpaper, turned vertically, and a smaller group below, although their activities are unclear. They may have been observed in the Midlands in 1830, or be related to the figure studies made by the River Thames, possibly around 1827, on folios 69 recto and verso and 71 verso (D22455, D22456, D22460). There are a few illegible words inscribed in two lines above.
Technical notes:
The heavy pencil work is rubbed and offset onto folio 72 verso opposite (D22462). There is staining from the leather overlaps over which the page is pasted.
