Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, the surviving inner face of the north side of Dudley Castle’s ruined keep is in the foreground, with the southern corner of the Sharington Range to the north-east below and beyond to the right; the drawing continues a little further to the right on folio 70 verso opposite (D22108; Turner Bequest CCXXXVIII 68a).
