Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, this loose sketch shows the south-eastern corner of the Chinese Fishing Temple (now gone) on the north shore of Virginia Water, as seen it its wider setting on the recto (D22116). There are more precise drawings of an elevation and details on folio 76 recto opposite (D22118; Turner Bequest CCXXXVIII 74).
