With the page turned vertically, the top third is occupied by a view of All Saints Church, Bakewell, as identified by Ian Warrell,1 from the south-west. As noted under folio 30 verso (D22205), where other Bakewell views are mentioned, the church lacked its crossing spire and tower at the time of Turner’s visit, the medieval structure having been taken down not long earlier and not yet replaced.
