From the upper to lower register (running parallel to the gutter of the book), these three panoramic sketches show Burg Katz and the towns of Sankt Goarshausen and Sankt Goar on the Rhine; the Lorelei (a slate cliff on the eastern bank of the river which soars some 132 metres above the waterline); and Sankt Goar and the Castle Rhinefels which presides over it.1
