As in the folio 67 recto (Tate D28483; Turner Bequest CCXC 67), here Turner shows the north-eastern part of St Cathedral of Saint Martin, giving onto the Marktplatz (market place) at Mainz. See also Tate D28484; Turner Bequest CCXC 67a for a view of the Cathedral’s east chancel.
