Not recorded in Finberg’s 1909 Inventory,1 these slight pencil strokes continue the view of Old London Bridge from folio 21 verso (D17953), under which the subject is discussed. The outer half of that leaf was evidently already missing when Turner drew on it, carrying on a short way to the left across the present page with vertical and horizontal elements of the bridge.
