This is one of a sequence of views at Harlech; see under folio 58 recto (D01292; Turner Bequest XXXVIII 40).
Finberg conjectured that this leaf was originally ‘probably p.40a’, that is, falling between folios 58 and 59 (D01292; Turner Bequest XXXVIII 40, 41). See the entry for folio 60 recto (D01294; Turner Bequest XXXVIII 42).
Technical notes:
The sheet is discoloured from prolonged exposure as part of the First Loan Collection from the Bequest.
Verso:
Blank; inscribed by Turner in pencil ‘[?Kiereth]’; stamped in brown ink with Turner Bequest monogram. It has not been possible to interpret the inscription.
