This subject is continued on folio 36 recto opposite (D01521; Turner Bequest XL 34). It is one of a sequence of rapidly sketched mountain subjects including folios 31 verso–30 recto and 33 verso–34 recto (D01513–D01514, D01516–D01517; Turner Bequest XL 29a–30, 31a–32), which may record the scenery of the Vale of Usk and the Brecon Beacons.
