This swiftly wrought sketch shows Traben and its flying bridge spanning the width of the Moselle. Standing atop it are two figures, facing towards the town and the Church of St Peter. The bridge of boats is depicted again in a later sketch of 1839: Tate D28391; Turner Bequest CCXC 21.
