Drawn with the page turned horizontally, the building in view here may once again be the Gatehouse at Morpeth; see under folio 28 verso (D02509). Alternatively, it may be one of the pele towers that Turner is likely to have passed on his way through Northumberland; see the drawings of apparently similar towers on folios 37 recto and 39 verso (D02523, D02528).
