Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, these cliffs are probably on the Yorkshire coast, near Scarborough; see folios 95 verso–96 recto (D02770–D02771). The drawing is the last of the long sequence on the Yorkshire coast between Scarborough and Whitby, beginning on folio 83 verso (D02746–D02776).
