This is a continuation of the drawing on folio 112 verso opposite (D03130; Turner Bequest LVI 110a), and the subject may be continued further on folio 114 recto (D03132; Turner Bequest LVI 112). Turner’s note ‘Glen Rannan’ is presumably a reference to Glen Rannoch, although he seems not to have travelled far enough west to have visited the glen itself: Loch Rannoch is some nine miles long, with Glen Rannoch running westwards from its head to Dunan.
Turner probably went west on the road to Kinloch Rannoch, where he made this rapid sketch indicating the outline of Loch Rannoch, before heading north to Glen Errochty. See folio 115 recto (D03134; Turner Bequest LVI 113).
