This fragmentary sketch is apparently the continuation of a drawing on another opening, possibly that on folios 117 verso–118 recto (D03139–D03140; Turner Bequest LVI 115a–116), which is inscribed ‘Dunkeld’; but the two do not match very convincingly, and the link may actually be with the drawing on folios 127 verso–128 recto (D03159–D03160; Turner Bequest LVI 125a–126).
The inscription on the present page is in the same style of script as that on folio 83 verso (D03073; Turner Bequest LVI 81a). Both have the appearance of having been added at the time the drawings were made rather than (as with the majority in this sketchbook) at a later date.
