With the page turned vertically, Turner records a series of coastal profiles, presumably noted while at sea. The slight annotations may indicate St Margaret’s at Cliffe, near Dover (see under folio 20 verso; D35523) and Turner’s familiar Kent base at Margate (see under folio 99 verso; D35666). There are similar studies on folio 26 verso (D35532).
