Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, Eu’s Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame and Saint-Laurent is seen from the south-east. The subject was tentatively proposed by Finberg and confirmed by Ian Warrell.1 A different aspect is shown on folio 35 recto opposite (D35549); see under folio 21 verso (D35540) for other views.

Technical notes:
There is some brown staining at the gutter, possibly indicating water damage in the 1928 Tate flood.
