With the sketchbook turned horizontally, Turner filled much of this page with riverside vistas. The more advanced drawing in the bottom half of the page was taken at Nantes and shows Quai de la Fosse with the cathedral in the distance. The pages of this volume feature many depictions of Nantes, a list of which is included in the sketchbook introduction.
