Turner filled the upper half of this page with a view of a street of half-timbered buildings in Quimper. The Cathedral of Saint-Corentin is visible above the rooftops on the right-hand side of the scene. This volume is scattered with depictions of this Brittany city, a list of which is included in the sketchbook introduction.
