The inner half, used horizontally, continues the prospect from the full width of folio 16 verso opposite (D14518), to the north and west from the Bacino around the start of the Giudecca Canal. The other page includes the campanile of San Marco (St Mark’s) and the Riva degli Schiavoni waterfront with its towers and domes beyond. Here the panorama is concluded with the island church of San Giorgio Maggiore across the Bacino.
