This sketch shows hills on the River Elbe near Loschwitz, east of Dresden. ‘Elbe’ and ‘W[...]berg’ are inscribed. With the sketchbook turned upside-down Turner has also rendered a jotting of hillside, inscribed ‘Pirnitz’, ‘P and River’.
