This is a study of Berlin’s Königskolonnaden (The King’s Colonnade) taken from a vantage point on the Königsbrücke (see Tate D31055; Turner Bequest CCCVII 18a). There is a separate sketch above which appears to depict figures on a boat on the Spree.
