This cursory view shows a river bend with shipping moored close to the banks at right and a town in the distance. The dashed-off inscription at bottom right reading ‘ZM[...]’ may indicate that this is Zell am Main, a town between Frankfurt and Würzburg situated on the River Main. Turner would have passed by this town as he navigated the river from Würzburg on his journey home via Frankfurt.
