This view of Prague was taken on the Old Town bank of the Vltava River, looking towards Charles Bridge and a gothic bridge tower at left. Figures can be seen on the quayside, gathered in front of the domed Church of St Francis. Some of Petrín Hill is visible beyond Charles Bridge at right.
Turner produced several views of Prague on the 1835 tour.
